Climate Change
But of course… the most important and contentious issue facing us today. Science, skepticism, thoughts and links.
As for me, my position is something like this:
Yes, the earth’s climate is changing. Yes, we pollute the earth and use too much of damn near everything. Yes, overconsumption is harming our planet.
Yes, we definitely must do something about all this, and on an individual basis.
Are we causing the earth’s climate to change? I don’t think so.
Are we headed for all manner of biblical disasters as a result? I’m not buying it.
Polar bears going extinct? Sea levels rising 7m? Who’s kidding whom?
BREAKING NEWS! HUNDREDS RALLY IN PROTEST OF GLOBAL WARMING!!!

An interesting look into how Al Gore goes about doing what he does… (which, if you’re keeping track, is the business of building an empire around anthropogenic global warming.)
If you’ve seen “An Inconvenient Truth”, you’ll be familiar with The Climate Project.
“The TCP Story” reads like a brochure for a network marketing company. When the analogy struck me, I actually laughed.

Well, it seems the Copenhagen cat really is out of the bag. Christopher Lord Monckton has said today that he’s in possession of a final draft copy of the agreement set to be signed at COP15.
The keystone of the thing? Taxing wealthy nations like Canada, of course. This comes as no surprise, but what’s shocking is the depth to which they’d like to reach into our pockets.
The agreement proposes a 2% tax on our GDP, and a further 2% levy on international financial transactions, whether originating or ending in Canada.
The Canadian Taxpayer Federation discusses this in detail on their site, but what it boils down to is this: Implementation of the Copenhagen Agreement will cost our nation BILLIONS; about $3000 per year for each citizen. And who do you think will pay that bill? Why, you and I will, of course.
